Kinross Spring Market and Food & Drinks Festival
The May Kinross Farmers' Market is a bigger Spring market and takes place on Saturday 24 May (10m-5pm) at the Market Park (field opposite the Green Hotel) with a great variety of stall holders. There will also be food & drinks demonstratios in the marquee of the beer garden. Programme is as follows:
10m: Tyroshan Attidi Panagoda from The Tuskers (Sri Lankan street food) brings the vibrant taste of Sri Lanka to Scotland. Join him for a flavour-packed demo celebrating authentic Sri Lankan curries made with freh, local Scottish produce.
11am: Jilly McCord was a MasterChef runner up in 2019 in the first all female final in the show’s history. She loves to cook with local produce and share recipes.
12 noon: Kenneth from Gin Laboratory ® Kinross will showcase the five key flavours of gin, and talk about how he hacked gin in order to share its formula with everyone, to create their own personalised gin.
1pm: Angie Noble from Cairn o Mohr is here to tell you a bit about what they do on their farm in Errol using locally grown and often foraged fruit to make delicious and award-winning wines and ciders.
2pm: Sarah Rankin is a former MasterChef Finalist, food writer, cookbook author and lover of Scottish flavours and produce.She focuses on wonderful, local ingredients, cooked simply, and enjoyed in good company.
3pm: A member(s) of the Loch Leven Brewery team will offer an insight into to the craft beer world, and talk about their award-winning Great Scots range of beers.
4pm: Yoon mi Seong from Pinko’s(Korean Street Food) will show people how to make vegan (plant-based) and gluten-free kimchi using Scottish vegetables.
Visitors will be able to buy high quality, fresh food from local producers and artisan traders offering a wide variety of products. The Producers themselves run their own stalls so you can come and speak directly with them, asking them questions about their produce and purchase fresh quality products.
